I’m so happy I signed up to the Podcast Pathfinder course with Laura. It’s exactly what I needed to turn my idea for a podcast into a reality. The course was well-designed, clearly delivered and allowed us to bounce ideas off both Laura and each other. It covered the basics from defining your target audience, brainstorming episode topics to recording, editing, creating artwork, and launching. Although I’m still recording my first episodes, the course has given me clear steps to follow when I get to the next stages. Laura is not only knowledgeable and experienced, her kind and encouraging guidance builds your confidence to try something new and put your creation out into the world. If you’ve been thinking about podcasting for a while but aren’t sure if you need a course, I highly recommend signing up for this one with Laura anyway! You’ll save so much time, get high-quality feedback and have someone to guide and support you in your journey. You won’t regret it!

Before we meet, you probably want to know a bit about me.
If you're here, you're probably wondering whether podcasting is right for you and your business.
You're in the right place.
Over the past 12 years, I've supported businesses in education in creating audio-visual content that:
Reaches and attracts clients from new markets
Scales programmes without compromising on human connection
Increases client engagement by recording content that's unique and fitting for their brand
Builds a fanbase of clients rather than chasing followers
Saves time in creating content to promote their brand
These are just a few of the wins my clients (and myself as a business owner) have experienced.
This could be your business too.
Best of all, you don't have to figure it out by yourself.
As a seasoned producer, I'll guide you through the creative process and key decisions so you can record a show that you, your business, and your clients will love.
I'm looking forward to supporting you on the journey!
Podcast Pathfinder course launches in September 2025.
Sprint 1: Vision, Audience & Message
Sprint 2: Scripting & recording
Sprint 3: Editing, launching & promoting
Workshops are 60 minutes long. One-to-one coaching sessions are 45 minutes long. All workshops and online sessions are held on Google Meets.
You can book you one-to-one sessions with me from Wednesday to Friday from the hours of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central European Time (CET). You can check the time for your location here.
To support you as you start to plan and create your podcast, I hold two open office hours a week on
Tuesday, 5 p.m.-6 p.m. CET
Thursday, 10 am-11 am CET
During this time, I'm available on Slack to answer any questions you have about podcasting via text chat or voice mail.
You can post questions via our Slack channel anytime, and I will get back to you during my office hours.
Ideally, you will have a laptop or desktop with 8GB of RAM or higher to support recording and editing. You will also need sufficient space to save your content, whether on your computer, on an external hard drive or in cloud storage.
You will need a microphone to capture the best audio quality. There are a lot of microphones to choose from, and this is something I will help you decide during the programme.
I suggest we use Garage Band if you are on an Apple computer. For Windows computers, we can explore free or paid editing tools, such as Audacity (free) or Adobe (paid).
There are many options to choose from. In our sessions, we will explore media technology so you can choose the best option for you on the programme.

What equipment will I need?
Good question. We cover this in the first week, but overall you'll need:
your smartphone
a stand
lighting
a microphone
editing software
We demonstrate a range of options so you can use what you know and what you have access to when building your home studio.
If you’re not a fan of editing on your phone, you can edit on a laptop or desktop using the Adobe Express software we demo in this course.
How much will I need to invest to set up my studio?
So assuming you already have a smartphone, you may choose to invest in:
a static stand - to stabilise your phone when you’re recording
mobile lights - to give you more options for when and where you record
a microphone - again, this will give you more options on where and how you record
Check out this blog for an insight into microphones for mobile phones for an idea of pricing and shipping costs.
What editing software do you use in this course?
We’ll show you how to use Adobe Express because it’s mobile and desktop-compatible. Plus Adobe offers a free limited plan, which is perfect when you’re just starting. There is a paid Premium version which you can trial that includes more editing credits and options.
What about other editing software?
Editing essentials like clipping and adding text can be performed by many tools, including built-in tools on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
We’ll demonstrate how to edit on your phone and laptop using Adobe Express. If you already have access to a video editing tool, you can use it to complete the challenges on this programme. Please note other editing tools may have a different layout and function than Adobe Express.
How much time will I need to spend each week?
We recommend around 2-3 hours per week to:
study the self-paced content
participate in the weekly challenge
attend the live Q&A sessions
We want you to move from idea to recording in minutes, not hours. That’s why we’ve included example videos, prompts and templates to get you recording as quickly as possible so you can see results.
We’ve also included a weekly challenge as learning is much more fun when we do it together.
When are the live Q&A sessions?
We host 30-minute live Q&A sessions every Tuesday at 1 pm Central European Time during the sprint. Use this planner to check the time for your time zone.
Drop in to chat about the topic, brainstorm ideas and ask questions to keep moving on your video journey.
Where are live sessions held?
We host live sessions on Google Meets - we’ll invite you to the live sessions when you sign up for the Video Venturer so you can add these to your calendar. We’ll also send you an email reminder on the day so you don’t miss out.
What if I can’t make it to the live sessions?
No problem. Laura hosts open office hours on Slack on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 10 am-11 am Central European where you can ask questions. Even if you can’t attend, leave a message or voice note and Laura will get back to you during office hours. 😊
Who is this programme for?
This course is aimed at busy educators in business, like you, who would love to create short 60-90-second videos for your marketing, communications or even as part of your services.
You don’t need to be great on camera, tech-savvy or even have ideas on what to record. We designed this programme to fit your busy schedule and needs.
